ASLE UKI is having their Biennial Conference in Liverpool – here’s the details…
The 2023 conference for the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment, UK and Ireland (ASLE-UKI) will be hosted by the Literature and Science Hub at the University of Liverpool. ASLE-UKI welcomes participation from scholars, readers, and creative practitioners interested in the relationships between literatures, environments and cultures – past, present, or future from anywhere in the world.
I will be giving my paper ‘The writer’s fragments: navigating the role boundaries of Creative Writing teacher, editor, and therapist in climate literature’, and chairing two panels: the online panel ‘Transitions, Transformations and the Nonhuman’ with Domonique Davies (University of Reading), Surya Prakash Verma (Indian Institute Of Technology–Roorkee), and Seda Bahar Pancaroglu (Çankaya University); and the in person panel ‘Communicating and Co-Creating Transitions’ with Hannah Little (University of Liverpool), David Shackleton (Cardiff University), and Sophia Brown (Freie Universität Berlin).
More info right here. Hope to see you there! x
