This week has been one of my favourite times of year: London Book Fair! I actually think it’s genuinely possible that I get as excited about LBF as I do about Christmas. The LBF video team cornered me at the Quantum Conference about my experience of the Fair, which you can see here, and is probably the most articulate I can be about why I love it so much.
This year for the first time, I was reporting on the Fair as it happened for BookBrunch. Getting to report on the Fair was more fun than I ever imagined work could be, and I’m so grateful to everyone who gave me quotes, let me take their photo, sent me Press Releases and generally leant me their experiences and opinions for my articles. Thanks, folks, you rock! BookBrunch will also be doing follow-up coverage on the Fair over the coming weeks, so keep a close eye on the website for more updates.
Finally, and most excitingly, my name will be appearing on two book covers this August! That’s right, I am going to be an official author. A few months ago Summersdale commissioned me to write two inspirational self-help books, Stress Less and Believe in Yourself and I’ve been busy ferreting away on them ever since. At LBF, I stopped by the stand to take a sneak peak at the latest cover designs!
All in all an utterly fantastic week, but as everybody knows, Book Fairs are also a little tiring, so I think I am going to go and sleep all weekend. Sweet publishing dreams, everyone!
